The Lost Manuscript – Honesty Story #30

July 19th, 2010

Last Friday, I met Brent and his wife at networking event. During the great conversation we were having, Brent mentioned how he had experienced recently the honesty of a stranger. He kindly agreed to send me the story so that others could be inspired by it.

I was traveling for business and was working on the third edition of my book, The People Profit Connection.  Unfortunately, I left it on the plane.  When I found this to be true, I was dejected because the manuscript was marked up with all of my latest edits.  I could never recreate it.

Later that day I received an email from a gentleman who told me he found my manuscript and saved it.  He asked me where he should mail it.  With much gratitude, I sent him the information and mailed him some free copies of my book and told him if there was anything I could do for him, to just let me know.

We now keep in touch via email.  He actually read my book and enjoyed it very much.  He even had some great comments that helped to make the book even better.  The world really does work pretty well if you let it.
